Anti-Gay Teacher Suspended

Posted by doctore0 on August 26, 2011

I have a hard time finding compassion for this guy*.. since his Idol, Jesus is going to torture nearly all of humanity forever and ever**

But still I support free speech, nothing will kill religion faster than free speech.

* He is probably gay in the closet

** Not to worry, Jesus/God is pure fake 🙂

Ok crazy teacher is acting and teaching like Je$u$.. .more problems

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — A Lake County teacher who allegedly made anti-gay posts on Facebook is causing more controversy.

The Lake County School district has a problem with the religious comments he included on his class syllabus and school website.

Jerry Buell made national headlines when he was suspended for his Facebook posts.

During that investigation, the district took notice of comments on Buell’s syllabus. In one section Buell wrote, “I am a man of God and I try to be like Jesus every day. I teach God’s truth, I make very few compromises. If you believe you may have a problem with that, get your schedule changed, ’cause I ain’t changing!”

Then there’s a comment from Buell’s website stating, “I try to teach and lead my students as if Lake Co. Schools had hired Jesus Christ himself.”

Buell told WFTV that he doesn’t understand what the problem is all of the sudden, because he’s used the same syllabus for years.

“The school district is saying that might run a foul to what they call the separation of church and state,” said Buell’s attorney Harry Mihet. “We are going to have to evaluate the schools position and engage them in some dialogue.”

But he and his client believe the First Amendment makes the comments Okay.

Lake County residents WFTV talked to were split on the subject.

“Our country was founded on religious faith in God. I truly believe there was nothing wrong with what he said,” said Leslie Shuster.

“The district says this is too much. I agree it’s too much,” said Leslie Cox.

(sigh)….. the good ‘ol bronze-age southern US. Consistently more entertaining than Hollywood.

“Our country was founded on religious faith in God” Huh? Nope. ( If you’re able to read.. Leslie Shuster… you would know that. )

Revocation of their ‘free-speech’ rights would cause a stir….well, forget it….the entertainment value they provide far exceeds any benefits derived from the rest of the country insisting they keep their dumb-ass gobs shut. ……(sigh).
