In 2012, the deeply devout Catholic country of the Philippines made history, when the government finally signed a Reproductive Health Bill – a law that would require introduction of sex education into schools and providing free contraceptives for its poorest women. However, government bureaucracy and religious opposition has meant the RH Law is not reaching the women that need it the most.
