Europe is SO way ahead of the US. Discouraging, of course. It could have been Fortress North America ( Canada, US, Mexico ) many years ago and issues such as oil supply wouldn’t be issues. The US has a talent for fucking-up everything they choose to become involved in, internationally. Red-neck central makes sure of that. There’s idiots who still race around town in their pick-ups with US flags still propped on both their side windows. I’m certain July 4th happened a while back.
An American RD would be a breath of fresh air but he’d probably be shot. I don’t live in a cave but, unfortunately, many of my neighbors do. Sigh.
