Oklahoma satanic black mass tickets sold out

Posted by Mr DoctorE on September 16, 2014

There were only 88 tickets available for the ceremony scheduled for September 21st at the Oklahoma City civic center, but organizers say they are all gone.

One of the group’s leaders, Adam Daniels, confirmed the black mass will be altered to meet state standards.

However, Daniels told ABC News it wouldn’t change the message to “not only educate the members but to educate the public, and to debunk the Hollywood-projected image of our beliefs.”

Among the actions taking place will be deacons and priests spitting and stomping on an unconsecrated host.
The group also plans a satanic exorcism. That means they will attempt to force the Holy Spirit to leave the body of a believer.

‘Don’t Say the Pledge’ campaign takes aim at ‘under god’

Posted by Mr DoctorE on September 10, 2014

The American Humanist Association on Monday launched a national campaign encouraging Americans to “sit out” the Pledge of Allegiance until the words “under God” are removed from it.

Dubbed “Don’t Say the Pledge,” the campaign encourages people, regardless of their beliefs, to sit down during the Pledge and “make a statement for true inclusiveness.”

“We want everyone to know that the current wording of the Pledge discriminates against atheists and others who are good without a god, and we want them to stand up for fairness by sitting down until the Pledge is restored to its original, unifying form,” said association Executive Director Roy Speckhardt.

The campaign comes after a survey conducted by the organization found that 34 percent of Americans said they would like “under God” removed after being told it wasn’t part of the original text.

Atheist US Air Force sergeant to take military to court over requirement to take oath with ‘so help me God’

Posted by Mr DoctorE on September 10, 2014

undergawdThe US Air Force has told a sergeant he will have to leave the military unless he agrees to take an oath with the phrase “so help me God”.

The atheist airman was last month denied his request to re-enlist because of his refusal to swear to God.

His lawyer, Monica Miller from the American Humanist Association, said he was now poised to take the military to court.

“We have not received word from the Air Force regarding our letter,” she said.

“It has not indicated a willingness to settle out of court.”

With the deadline for re-enlisting expiring in November, the technical sergeant at Creech Air Force base in Nevada, whose name has not been released, will be forced to sue the government in a federal court, Ms Miller said.

In the past, an airman could opt for an alternative phrase and omit the words “so help me God,” but the US Air Force changed its policy in October 2013.

The other branches of the American military do not require the reference to God and make the phrase optional.

“This is the only branch to my knowledge that’s actually requiring everyone in all instances to use the religious language,” Ms Miller said.

She said the requirement violated the US Constitution, which bars religious tests to hold office or other positions.

Hercules (aka Kevin Sorbo) Chiming In Against Atheists

Posted by Mr DoctorE on August 28, 2014

“God Is Not Dead actor Kevin Sorbo provided one answer to the question he has been asking repeatedly on the film’s DVD promotional tour — “Why are atheists so angry at something they don’t believe in?” — on Christian radio host Rick Wiles’ show Tuesday.

Atheists, he claimed, secretly believe that God exists, and are upset with him because they know he is going to judge them. They are a “small group of people, and they get on Fox or CNN and they rant and they rave,” Sorbo said, “and I pretty much based my character [in God Is Not Dead] off of these guys that I see who are just angry — they’re just filled with anger and hatred.”

“On the one hand,” he continued, “I feel sorry for them, but then I kind of laugh at them. Why would anybody spend so much time ranting and raving about something they don’t believe in?”

After a brief digression about how “the chipping away of religion” has “brought the country down,” Sorbo claimed that “85 or 90 percent of the people in this country” believe in God, and that they’re offended when atheists use the courts to compel Christians to respect the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause.”
