Sylvia Browne: fans lash out at ‘psychic’ over false Ohio abduction prediction
‘Psychic’ incorrectly predicted the death of Amanda Berry in 2004 – not the first time she’s been wrong about a missing person
One of the world’s most recognizable self-proclaimed psychics was wrong yet again about the fate of a missing child, and her followers on social media are taking her to task.
Browne’s prediction about the fate of Amanda Berry was not her first attempt to explain the fate of a child, but her fans on social media demanded acknowledgment from the self-proclaimed spiritual leader.
On Wednesday, Browne released the following through her Facebook page: Read more

SANTIAGO, Chile — Chilean police on Thursday arrested four people accused of burning a baby alive in a ritual because the leader of the sect believed that the end of the world was near and that the child was the antichrist.
The 3-day-old baby was taken to a hill in the town of Colliguay near the Chilean port of Valparaiso on Nov. 21 and was thrown into a bonfire. The baby’s mother, 25-year-old Natalia Guerra, had allegedly approved the sacrifice and was among those arrested.
“The baby was naked. They strapped tape around her mouth to keep her from screaming. Then they placed her on a board. After calling on the spirits they threw her on the bonfire alive,” said Miguel Ampuero, of the Police investigative Unit, Chile’s equivalent of the FBI.
Authorities said the 12-member sect was formed in 2005 and was led by Ramon Gustavo Castillo Gaete, 36, who remains at large.
“Everyone in this sect was a professional,” Ampuero said. “We have someone who was a veterinarian and who worked as a flight attendant, we have a filmmaker, a draftsman. Everyone has a university degree. “
Police said Castillo Gaete, the ringleader, was last seen traveling to Peru to buy ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic brew plant that he used to control the members of the rite Source
There you have it… they watched the baby die 4 Jesus… again

THEY HEARD their son crying through sleepless nights, suffering with diarrhea, and when little Brandon Schaible’s parents noticed his labored breathing, authorities said, they prayed over their baby until his final breath last week.
Herbert and Catherine Schaible told a judge in 2011 that they would never choose religion over medicine again after their 2-year-old son, Kent Schaible, died from bacterial pneumonia in 2009.
But on Monday, the Rhawnhurst couple sat together again in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court, silent and somber as a judge skewered them for “grossly and disastrously” violating their probation when they watched Brandon, just shy of 8 months old, die last week.
“I am sorry for your loss. Deeply sorry,” Judge Benjamin Lerner told the couple. “But in all honesty, I am more sorry for the fact that this innocent little child will not be able to grow up to be what he wanted to be.”
Herbert and Catherine Schaible belong to the First Century Gospel Church, a fundamentalist congregation on G Street near Annsbury in Juniata Park, that believes in faith healing. The couple were convicted of involuntary manslaugher for Kent’s death and sentenced to 10 years of probation that included strict requirements for medical care for their remaining children.
In court Monday, Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore said the couple acknowledged that Brandon was crying, experiencing diarrhea and having trouble sleeping and breathing before he died at home Thursday. The family called a funeral home after Brandon died
— A startling photo of a plane passenger who wrapped himself in a plastic bag for his flight has hit the internet.
The man dressed entirely in black beneath folds of plastic, sightly bows his head beneath the tied ends seen piled on his head. The passengers behind him strain to catch a look.
The photo was posted to Reddit on Thursday amid suggestions that the man is a Kohein, religious descendant of the priests of ancient Israel, who are banned from flying over cemeteries.
Many wrap themselves in plastic bags as a compromise measure.
‘In orthodox and Conservative communities, Kohanim,’ plural of Kohein ‘are expected to abstain from coming in contact with the dead, which includes a prohibition on visiting cemeteries except for the funerals of close relatives,’ Rabbi Jeffrey W. Goldwasser writes in an article for About.com. Read more

A former pastor of a northwest Indiana mega-church who has admitted having a sexual relationship with an underage parishioner exchanged hundreds of text messages with the girl and told her Jesus Christ sanctioned their relationship, prosecutors say.
The messages are quoted in a memorandum from prosecutors as they argue for a 10-year prison sentence for Jack A. Schaap, who has pleaded guilty to federal charges that he took a minor across state lines with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.
The memorandum, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Hammond, details how Schaap, 55, “groomed” the girl into having sex with him while he was pastor at the First Baptist Church of Hammond and was counseling her. The girl had turned 17 when the incidents were happening, according to prosecutors.
Schaap wrote the girl, “You opened your heart wide to me — you made me more than a Pastor/Rescuer — you made me your friend your confidant, your beloved. You gave me your trust, your heart, your love, + your affection,” according to the memo.
Schaap continued that their relationship was sanctioned by God and he referred to their “fantasy talk” during a counseling session. “You have affectionately spoken of being ‘my wife.’ That is exactly what Christ desires for us. He wants to marry us + become eternal lovers!”
