Yet another crazy god-guy

Lindsay claims that from ages 13 to 23 she was one of 10 “maidens” and was sexually abused by alleged cult leader Victor Barnard — a fugitive currently facing 59 felony charges, including criminal sexual conduct. Lindsay blames her father, Carmen, for turning a blind eye. Carmen says he had no idea what his daughter was going through, because Barnard had such a mental hold on him — and he’s desperate to repair his relationship with Lindsay. Emotions run high when the two come together for the first time in more than a year. How does Lindsay say she finally escaped nearly a decade of alleged abuse? And, what red flags does she say her father ignored? Plus, can this father and daughter move forward in healing and forgiveness? This program contains strong language and adult subject matter.

Religious nutters..

ISLAMABAD: The owner of Pakistan’s biggest media group, Geo TV along with actor Veena Malik and her husband was sentenced to 26 years in prison by an anti-terrorism court for allegedly airing a blasphemous programme.

Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman, owner of Geo and Jang group, was accused of allowing the airing of a blasphemous programme by Geo television in May, which played a religious song while staging a mock marriage of Malik with Bashir.

Judge Shahbaz Khan also sentenced both Malik and Bashir along with TV host Shaista Wahidi for 26 years each.

The ATC also imposed a 1.3 million Pakistani rupees fine on the convicts and ordered that their properties should be sold to raise the fine, if they failed to pay it.

The judge said in his judgement that all four accused committed profanity.

The court in its 40-page verdict also asked the police to arrest the convicts, an official said.

Christians beaten to death for allegedly desecrating Qur’an in Pakistan

Posted by doctore0 on November 5, 2014

Religion of peace….

A Muslim mob beat a Christian couple to death in Pakistan and burnt their bodies in the brick kiln where they worked for allegedly desecrating a Qur’an, police have said.

The attack in Kot Radha Kishan, 40 miles south-west of Lahore, is the latest example of violence against minorities accused of blasphemy.

“A mob attacked a Christian couple after accusing them of desecration of the holy Qur’an and later burnt their bodies at a brick kiln where they worked,” local police station official Bin-Yameen said.

Another police official confirmed the incident. The victims were only identified by their first names, Shama and Shehzad, and were married.

Pakistan’s brick-kiln workers are often subject to harsh practices. A study by the Bonded Labour Liberation Front Pakistan estimated that 4.5 million are indentured labourers.

Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif has constituted a three-member committee to fast track the investigation of the killings and ordered police to increase security at Christian neighbourhoods in the province, an official from his media office said.

Blasphemy is a hugely sensitive issue in the majority-Muslim country, with even unproven allegations often prompting violence.

Anyone convicted, or even just accused, of insulting Islam, risks a violent death at the hands of vigilantes.

Pope Francis praises exorcists for combating ‘the Devil’s works’

Posted by doctore0 on October 29, 2014

exorcismPope Francis has told a convention of exorcists from around the world that they are doing sterling service in combating “the Devil’s works”, as the Catholic Church warned of a rise in Satanism and the occult.

The Pope, who frequently cites the fight against Satan in his sermons, said that exorcists needed to show “the love and welcome of the Church for those possessed by evil”. By treating people who were possessed, priests could demonstrate that “the Church welcomes those suffering from the Devil’s works,” he said in a message to a conference organised in Rome by the International Association of Exorcists.

The organisation, which brings together Catholic clergy and psychiatrists, was founded in 1990 by two Catholic priests and was given formal recognition by the Vatican in June.

At the conference, 300 priests and experts from around 30 countries discussed the perils of the occult and Satanism, which many in the Catholic Church believe is on the increase.

“The struggle against evil and the Devil is becoming more and more of an emergency,” Walter Cascioli, a psychiatrist and the spokesman for the association, told Vatican Radio.
