So have two possible conclusions:

1) Jesus did not really suport her;

2) Jesus, or god if you want, is not powerfull enough to let his favoured candidate win. Consequently said god is not omnipotent and of questionable reliability. Not quite worthy of worship.

You’re right. That’s why the claim that atheists do not know about god or jesus (popular among christians) always fails to convince atheists. Most atheists have studied religion in depth, and have subsequently reached the conclusion it’s all BS.

The Bill of Rights is (part of) the Law of the US, and so it’s apropriate if it is displayed in a government building. The Declaration of Independence is not a legal document, but is as the foundational document of the US goverments also apropriate to display in such places. However the “ten” commandments are a religious documents, which contains elements which are in violation of US law. Given that the US has been founded as a secular nation, displaying them is in violation of the law of the nation.
