I think that Bill Nye ought to stick to science. I would agree that the world is older than 10,000 years old, but as even Bill would admit (in private) that doesn’t mean that creationism is invalid. Leave your atheism at the door Bill.
Bill is sticking to science, it is religion that is demanding their myths being taken as science, having only some magic book written by WhoKnowsWho, zero evidence + a bribe of eternal life/torture.
You know, I can understand people in the olden days believing in god/creationism, their “universe” was their backyard, their city/country and not much more. People today have way more knowledge, how can they fit their gods into this
That’s a fairly large swamp depicted here. Has to be more than one Mosquito God to cover all that real estate, as the only one we know of spends the majority of his time in Bokaro. Hmm….multiple Gods. Possibly out of fashion, but a concept worthy of reconsidering?
Mr. Bill sports a bow-tie like no other can. That he seems more inclined to be coming out of the shadows, with respect to media, is quite encouraging. Carl’s passing may have inspired him to step-up to the plate. Hitch is gone and we’re seriously in need of another slugger to knock this ( often ridiculous) conversation…out of the park. Richard does well…..tho’ he is so damn often….too ‘English-polite’. Dude…get seriously pissed once in a while! The curse of a veddy proper up-bringing, I suppose.
@ Chica……asking Bill to “leave his atheism at the door” is akin to the ” Walmart Welcome Guy” patting you down and insisting you leave your money at the door. Does that make sense?
Docman….more yule-cat snaps are in order. The season is upon us.

The gods are too small for all of this, too local, too human, too stupid
