This reminds me of something from a few (well, 13) years back in New Orleans (which later made it onto The Daily Show). A local pastor (known for wild antics) preached a sermon about the evils of credit bondage and consumerism shortly before Christmas. As a part of his sermon he SHOT Santa on stage.
Interesting to note, one of my best friends went to that church. He actually came out as an atheist long before I did and was instrumental in my being able to admit to myself that I no longer believe in any god, especially not the Christian God.
