Unsupervised Church-Related Schools Result in Illiteracy, Poor Math Skills

Posted by doctore0 on October 26, 2010

In Tennessee, church-related schools are not supervised.  With the lack of oversight, kids can go for years without learning a thing and no one ever knows.

Appalachia has long been the butt of American jokes told around the world. Nothing will likely ever change that as they seem to enjoy, and are prideful of, wallowing in ignorance. The flag and a cross are the only snuggy-blankets they need. At times, I’m all for Texas seceding from the Union, and often wonder what might happen if the country ever got honest with itself and officially splintered into satellite states, forsaking the “One Nation under God” crap. That “One Nation”, at present, appears entirely incapable of (a) properly educating it’s citizens,( constantly caving-in to special interests, religious and otherwise ) (b) preventing itself from engaging in rhetoric designed to justify waging war against another somebody, somewhere…anybody! (c) weaning the public off of their media-induced addiction to the Football and Basketball Gods, at the expense of the Education Gods, as evidenced by the on-going suppression of charges against college ( heck, maybe future NBA’ers!) athletes who persistently engage in, and get away with, that silly little thing called rape.

I could go on, but needn’t. After all, in America, it’s three strikes and …Yer Out!!.

How the hell can you go four years without noticing that your kid still reads like a kindergartner?

  3. When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service? Thanks a lot!
