Child abuse in monasteries in Orthodox Russia.

Abuse is another name for religion, so is madness, insanity, corruption, greed, selfishness, ignorance, superstition, war, injustice, scam, fraud, child molestation…
It’s totally insane to put children in the hands of religious institutions..

Some media, especially Christian, is protecting the clerics. (NO SURPRISE HERE)
This girl wrote that the girls in the monastery were punished very harshly: beaten up with a belt, made to pray all night standing on an unstable chair, deprived them food for a few days, made them to stand still for 4 hour church service, if entered a room without a prayer, made them to open and close the door for 1000 times saying a prayer. Girls worked from 6 in the morning until 8 at night, including working in the field (they need to grow own food) while nuns woke them up at midnight to pray, and if someone fell asleep during the prayer then she was out in the corridor for the whole night. The nuns made the girls to follow the rules of monks from 1803, which they found in the monastery.
Another case in a monastery in Tyumen city sounds even more bizarre. One of the nuns made the girls to confess they were masturbating, but if a girl did not understand what it meant she would beat her up. Little girls such as 3 year olds were beaten, their cheeks smacked, kicked and their hair pulled for simply smiling and talking to each other. They were made to pray with 500 bows during the meals (instead of the meals) or made to eat rissoles without a drink, when they choked a nun beat them up. Older girls ended up with broken noses and shattered mental health; they had nightmares at night and were scared of a kitchen with knives and forks. They were taught to be humble, spiritual slaves, told their souls were saved only in the monastery in the approaching end of the world. Also, there were cases when parents of some kids were pressed to give their assets to the monastery.
